We’ve got you covered…

Our program gives you the basics of the potter’s and ceramist’s trade. You’ll learn how to shape plates and bowls for presenting olives and olive oil.

First of all, we invite you to discover our workshop and our creations. All the equipment is here for you! And if you have any questions or need advice, our team will be on hand to guide and support you. Accompanied by our artists, you’ll be immersed in the world of ceramics and discover different techniques over half a day.

Here are the steps and techniques of our pottery workshop:

  • A brief introduction to clays and a few technical terms;
  • Soil preparation ;
  • Réalisations des pièces soit par :

    • Modeling: work on the pinched technique, starting with a ball of clay that you will gradually pinch to give it shape. A little pinched bowl, for example!
    • Stamping: you make a slab of clay using a roller, then texture it and cut out a shape that will be the “template” for your creation.

  • Drying
  • Piece decoration (engobes, oxides)

While you’re waiting for your creations to dry, a cup of coffee in a well-earned break is a special moment to discuss your creations, as well as anything and everything.

At the end of the workshop, the craftsman will offer you some of his creations that resemble the pieces you have modeled during the day.
